Happy New Year 2015

I hardly know where to begin, so why not wish everyone a Happy New Year! Right off the bat I'd like to set your minds at ease and say that Big EZ continues to be in complete remission with no detectable M-spike and all other numbers stable. When we haven't heard from fellow bloggers in quite a while, we worry that something is wrong, and often it is. For us, life is just full and busy, so for the most part, a quick Intagram post is about all I can muster! We are extremely grateful that five years post diagnosis, EZ has not relapsed and his numbers continue to look good.

And now for a quick review of 2014 and four very exciting events in the life of our family:

1. Our son, Nick, got engaged to the beautiful Anne Davis in March. When EZ was diagnosed in January of 2010, he wondered if he'd live long enough to meet the girl Nick would one day marry. Our prayers were surely answered and we love Anne so much!

 2. In celebration of my 60th birthday, EZ and I took an amazing trip to the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Zion National Park and Las Vegas in April.

 3. We welcomed a new grandson, Will, in May. Big sister, Emery, was beyond excited, and so were we!

That makes six beautiful grandchildren for us!

4. Nick and Anne got married in Chapel Hill, NC on December 20, 2014!

The wedding party with EZ serving as Nick's best man. It was such an honor for EZ to stand beside his son on this very special day!

Our five oldest grandchildren all participated in the wedding. Were they ever adorable!

All Bakers have now married in the month of December, with Nick and Anne marrying on our 39th anniversary! Here we all are at the wedding: Nick and Anne, day one, Leah and Kyle 8 years, Tara and Jamie 14 years, and Ernie and I, 39 years! What a cause for celebration!

There was so much more to celebrate in 2014, but these are definitely some of the highlights. May you all have a healthy and happy 2015, and hopefully you will hear from us more often! We care very much for those of you who stop by our blog, and would love to hear from you! For now, let's all try to remember these wise words in the new year:

  5. Linda! I've so missed your blog updates! Your pictures are stunning, your family is so beautiful and your life as you portray it here on your blog reminds me of a "Hallmark" movie :) Seriously, I've really missed your updates, as even tho we "really" don't know each other, I feel connected to you and your beautiful family via your words and pictures! Congratulations on all the happy 2014 moments and celebrations!. I love all the inter-connections in your family member's lives. So sweet and loving. And I am so thrilled to read that "no news, is good news" regarding EZ and MM, and he continues in CR!!! I recall he has never stopped Revlimid? I think that was an awesome decision that I hear the MM researchers are really looking at more now. So glad you traveled to the Grand Cyn, etc. We should have met up for that In N Out ;) I'm so happy for all your happiness and may it continue on, uninterrupted for a very very very long time. Now please, update more often. You, and your family's adventures are a BRIGHT light in my life! xoxo Julie

    1. We are definitely connected Julie! Yes, EZ has been on Rev continuously as maintenance. He takes it every day...no week off. He is so fortunate that his GI system has been able to handle it with no problem, and we don't take that for granted. Hopefully it will continue to work for him after this five year mark. We loved In N Out, and went there twice in one week!! If we ever make it out to sunny CA, we WILL meet up and enjoy a burger and shake together! Promise I'll post more, and thankful it brightens your day! Much love to you and yours!! xoxo

  6. Hi Linda- It's Kyle's Aunt Kathy (and Leah's too) - I'm so glad to see you back on your blog again! It was fun catching up on all you've been doing. The wedding pictures are beautiful and lovely to see everyone in white - a snowball wedding! Congratulations on gaining a new daughter in law. I hope you are as lucky as I am with daughters in law! I have been blessed with two girls I love. Best wishes to you all. I also enjoyed the vacation photos - Dave and I did the same trip a few years ago and loved it. Now Yellowstone is on our list. It's wonderful to see EZ doing so well. We never take any days for granted ourselves. Each one is appreciated no matter how uneventful it is. We do enjoy your blog - you have an insprational family. All the best, Kathy and Dave

  9. I'm proud to say now that I am finally at a place where I have found something that works for me. Almost four years ago I began seeing a classical Homeopath. I was put on a constitutional remedy by Dr Itua herbal center who reside in west africa, and I am amazed at my healing thus far. I will continue to post what worked for me and what didn't in more blogs to come (as this one is getting quite long... and I'm not writing a book here - not yet anyway). This discovery has not only helped the way I practice, but it has also given me further insight into the world of Herbal medicine. I came to know more about Dr Itua on Tv Station when I was taking my regular organic coffee at javamania coffee spot I watched the whole scene on how he uses Natural herbs to cure disease like Herpes, Hiv/Aids, Cancers,HPV,Men & Women Infertility,Melanoma, Mesothelioma, Multiple myeloma, Neuroendocrine tumors,Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma,Alzheimer's disease, chronic diarrhea, COPD, Parkinson's disease, Als And Diabetes, I was moved by his words then I took a confident step to contact him regarding my health condition Herpes & Prostate Cancer, He prepared his herbal medicine then sent it to me through Courier which I took as it's was instructed and I found myself healing symptoms are all gone I have being watching my health for years now and I finally confirmed that is a permanent cure like he told me at our first conversations so now I'm healthy and happy I purchase his herbal tea which I usually take in the morning before starting my day because it feels good to find addiction on natural herbs than medical drugs so is what I'm doing and loving it more and More to come later on blogs sooner I will be writing my book.
I will advise you to contact Doctor Itua Herbal Center for any kind of permanent cure and herbal remedy.
