Linda and I put our blog in place to share with others my latest health status and how our family was adapting to this new journey with Multiple Myeloma. The blog is a wonderful way to distribute information, pictures, and status to our friends and family without us worrying about who we forgot to add to an email distribution list. Our site meter records an average of 85 visitors each day (which humbles both Linda and I to even think that we have that many checking on us), average time spent is a little over a minute ten seconds and are from all over the world (this month):
For those of you that comment regularly, THANK YOU! We love to read your comments about the blog and are so rewarded when we hear that it has somehow encouraged you. For the rest of you, we would love to hear from you; i.e. who you are, where you are from, and how did you come to visit our blog?
We look forward to getting to know you!
Hi y’all. I’m one of your 85+ regular readers. I’m almost a neighbor -- we live in Raleigh -- and my husband is planning his ASCT at Duke (later this month, or early March), so I love reading about your experiences there. Thanks for sharing your journey with us!

HI EZ Family, I am a regular follower and I can relate to your feelings. Its is easy to become a lurker when I am visiting many different blogs. But there is a lot a time and effort creating a blog post and it nice to feel that it is being read, understood and enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI have really enjoyed reading your blog, learning about your family, and hearing of your challenges in a positive light. It seems our families have a lot in common. Wouldn't it be nice to have you all over for sunday dinner sometime-that would be quite a drive though. I will continue to read and enjoy your posts from Kris (a busy wife, mother, long nap taker, and mm survivor) oh and current dex taker thus the early time :)
I am a new reader and commenter. I found out about your journey blog from my daughter, Jennifer, who is a friend of your daughter, Tara. Like Kristine said above, it's easy to become a blog lurker and forget how important comments can be. Yesterday, I went to the beginning of your blog and read about the EZ Walk from the beginning. What an amazing family of faith you all are. I look forward to reading more about your journey in the days ahead and I look forward to meeting you all in person when my husband and I make our tansition to Wake Forest in 2012.
ReplyDeletei check in on your blog almost daily. hard to always take the time to comment. (like now, as i type with my arms wrapped around a very wiggly three year old ) cant believe your journey started over a year ago now. we love you guys. thanks for sharing your journey with us.
ReplyDeleteI'm here representing Marietta, Georgia (or maybe Duluth-- that's me at work!). I read daily too and am your daughter :)
