When Tara began seriously planning the Florida/Disney trip we realized that we couldn't possibly know how much Ernie was going to be able to participate in or help with. Almost every ride, dinner or show at Disney involves sitting, which meant he would be excluded by his inability to sit vertically for any length of time. How long would his feet and legs hold up walking and standing (most of us sit to rest, so he wouldn't be able to rest). Would the two day car ride take it's toll? Would he be able to handle hot humid temperatures? We decided, since there were so many unknowns, we REALLY NEEDED NICK to come along for extra hands, and we are so thankful he did! Every time I turned around he was stepping in with a smile to help out, and I am so grateful to have such a fine son. Here is a bit of the story in pictures:
From dancing with a one year old....
To bounce houses with a four year old...
To basketball viewing with a 2 month old...
To jungle cruises with TWO one year olds...
To letting Natalie drive the racecar...
To watching opening shows with LOTS of singing and dancing...
To trying to convince Nathan that watching princesses dance really was fun...
To holding Samantha when she screamed because she didn't want to be in the stroller...
To contorting his neck so Samuel could learn to ride on his shoulders...
To wondering what on earth is this "monsters of comedy show" was about...
To feeding two little ones applesauce as fast as you can to keep them contained and happy...
To riding Thunder Mountain with Nathan for the first time...
To acting brave on Pirates of the Carribean...
To holding on for dear life during Peter Pan's flight...
To doing squats so Samuel could stand up for awhile...
To being a human launching pad for a cousin...
To holding sweet Samantha till she fell asleep...
To last, but by far not the least, riding DUMBO and smiling about it...Uncle Nick, you are the best!!
Couldn't have done it without you and I thank you so much for being "Awesome Uncle Nick". We love you!
