Is Food a Love Language?

Well if food is a love language, I would guess it is mine. I love to cook food for my family, friends and those who are in need of a meal. I always use recipes, either 'tried and true' or new, and am not one to venture off into unknown territory by adding 'a little of this' or 'a pinch of that' (makes me way too nervous). I have a zillion cookbooks, 2 recipe boxes, and a couple of notebooks full of recipes from magazines, newspapers and food blogs. This one is definitely a favorite:
Cooking for others is one way I can express how much I care, and it has always meant so much to me when people, in turn, prepared or picked up a meal for us. We have been the recipients of some amazing food since Ernie was diagnosed with myeloma, and I appreciate so much the time and effort others put in to cooking, baking, or bringing food for us. It truly makes me feel so loved...

It has come to my attention that I also take lots of pictures of food...and I am guilty as charged! So I thought, why not do a post about yummy food pictures so we can all salivate together! It's been fun looking back at many of the meals our family has enjoyed together. There is something special about gathering around the kitchen or dining room table. I don't think families take the time to do it enough. I'm thankful our family loves to gather round the table to enjoy good food and one another. Now here is some food for thought as you plan your next home cooked meal:

And don't forget to gather round just before you partake, and give thanks for the bounty!

  9. It's currently 22:25 here and we had cheese and onion butties (sandwiches just in case you don't use that expression over there) because we had our main meal early today so the last thing I needed to see to make me hungry before bed was ALL THAT FANTASTIC LOOKING FOOD! :o
